I put your name in the title because you've been active recently and responding to posts. Here's a legitimate one that shouldn't take too long.
What is the theory behind stickies? Why do you have them and why do you request that players post in them instead of other threads?
My question stems from the fact that there are many stickies on the front page, but none that I can see that have gotten any response outside of the original post. If the point of a sticky is to discuss an issue, why don't we ever see your side of the discussion? Would it be so hard to respond every now and then to the stickies, showing that you are seeing what players are saying and give a damn about their opinion?
It just seems to me that a sticky is a rather good mechanism for preventing strife in the forums, while at the same time muting any discourse. The issues are out of our hand once a sticky is made, and the decision is over.[ post edited by Lilim ]

Well, if we've stickied a thread and asked that all discussion should go there, it's basically saying "Hey, we're using this thread as the means to get feedback to the developers on the issue." The very fact that we make a stickied discussion thread about it is recognition that we understand how large an issue it is to the community.
There are many reasons why we don't always participate in the discussion. Many times we simply have nothing to add. You should assume -- because this is correct -- that, if there is a stickied discussion thread about it, we are checking it regularly and bringing feedback to the folks who need to hear it. If we do have something new to add, we do, but normally someplace where it won't get lost. As I'm sure many can tell you, a blue post on the 20th page of a thread we started will become completely swallowed up and missed.
