My main is a Tauren and I LOVEEEEEE Love love the raptor mount, and at the same time I love the Tauren race than any other in-game. Is there any possible way you guys can make this happen? Im so sick of my kodo and I hardly pvp to get a AV wolf mount (i hate wolfs), and no way in hell am I ever going to get the baron mount.
Blizz pleaseeeeee let my tauren ride a raptor! I beg you![ post edited by Faire ]

The weight would unbalance a raptor significantly -- I don't think it's going to happen.
However... I've heard tell that Orcs have been working on a breeding program for sturdier Wolves...

Tauren are top-heavy. Raptors are two-legged and thus must balance their riders very carefully. Tauren, well, Tauren are a wee bit too much for 'em. ;)

Again, look at my phrasing -- top-heavy. As Tauren are larger and notably heavier in the upper body, it becomes more difficult to balance on two legs (yes, ever with that tail). The trolls of Sen'Jin do not want to be responsible for any accidents incurred due to Tauren hijinx.

Here's my other rationale (I was waiting for the bat thing! Hah!)...
Orcs tame their wolves well, but Trolls, well, Trolls like their mounts good and savage. If you were a hungry, barely-tamed predator and you had a big slab of beef on your back, what would you do? :P

Tch, I'm just debating for the sake of debating here -- to my knowledge there are no plans to add raptors as an option for Tauren.
However, very soon now, they will no longer be restricted to just Kodos.. ;)
And Skeletal Warhorses?! They'd bust 'em up! The only reason the Baron's holds up so well is due to the magic imbued within the bones to make it nigh-impervious. After all, the man has unwanted guests in his home constantly, hacking away at his horse.

I would very much like for you guys to take away the restriction for Tauren, but stop making up excuses that will alter be nulled.
This wasn't a "mess up" -- the Frostwolf was meant to be used by everyone, just as the Rivendare's mount can be used by everyone. There are exceptions to certain rules, Popinski. Thank you for the assumption, though. :)
And I am not implying that Tauren are getting Plainsrunning again. Everything I'm properly implying is right there if you read what I've said in this thread, but let me lay it out:
1) Tauren will soon no longer be restricted to Kodos.
2) The Orcs have been breeding stronger wolves.
3) There are still no plans for Tauren to ride raptors.
4) The "logical" excuses I gave for #3 are nothing more than simply Caydiem pseudologic on a late Saturday night.[ post edited by Caydiem ]

Well, while the trolls of Sen'Jin still steadfastly refuse to allow tauren to ride their savage mounts, I hear there's a slightly tougher breed with less chance to sample the tasty living steak on their back... and that they'll be available in the next content update.
And no, not the Ravasaur. ;)

Well, while the trolls of Sen'Jin still steadfastly refuse to allow tauren to ride their savage mounts, I hear there's a slightly tougher breed with less chance to sample the tasty living steak on their back... and that they'll be available in the next content update.
