Warlocks now with master demonologist + soul link are impossible for a mage to defeat. 50% damage split + 60 to all resistances + spell lock + spellstone = mage fubared. Is there any other class in the game that makes it about 80% impossible for another specific class to do anything at all to them? Isn't this just a tadbit overpowered? Perhaps lower the resistances or make it so soul link will not stack with that buff. [ post edited by Glitter ]

First of all, it's not impossible. Second, the challenge you've described is only applicable when facing a specific Warlock build. What would be the point of specializing your character if it didn't give you an advantage in certain types of encounters to some degree? As a Mage, you're more than capable. If it's really important for you to defeat this specific Warlock build, I'd suggest exploring your own classes capabilities and ways to compensate using what's available, and adjust your play-style accordingly.

There is nothing. You simply cannot win. Don't throw bull$!@% like that into the post. You were fine until you hinted that we're simply not "exploring our class capabilities". Bull-!&$%ing-$!@%. Here, lemme spec into hitting him with my staff.

Every class must face challenge, yes, including the Mage. I've had more experience playing the Mage than any other class in this game, exploring a variety of talents builds and practicing several methods when combating other classes. I don't believe it's impossible to defeat a Warlock using this build. If anything, it makes for a fun challenge. If we start receiving reports of Warlocks terrorizing Mages across each realm, we'll take a look at the situation. In the meantime, try and adapt. Warlocks have only had these talent improvements for a few days.
