Subject: Tired of reading CMs, devs please.
The CM is a position that is created for two purposes. Board moderation (usually done by what seem to be lesser CMs) and a big fat wall between paying customers and those who determine what the paying customers get.

CMs do not make decisions about game direction or changes made to the game, nor do they have information to give us 95% of the time.

If the devs can use a computer to code a game, they can use it to post in a forum, it's really not that hard, and though the server maintenance crew is probably hard at work trying to hold everything together into the wee hours, I'm sure the latte sipping devs have some free time to share with us.

Please do so. Stop hiding behind CMs. I worked as a CM for my last two jobs, and I know it's complete bullcrap, everyone blames you or they blame the company and you can tell them nothing but 'sorry, they are untouchable'.

Get off your high horse and hang with us. You and your ivory tower can rot.

Occasionally, you might see a developer relay information, but typically if they have something they wish to share, it's done through us. I'm sorry that this method of communication is unsatisfactory, however, I can assure you that it is done this way for several reasons. In addition to many of those reasons please be aware that having members of the development team post on the boards regularly would only result in a loss of time that they could be working on more important projects necessary for World of Warcraft's continued growth.

I understand the message contained within your post, and realize that the response above is more than likely, not one which will be pleasing to you, but it reflects the current situation of how we manage these boards and there are no plans to change in this specific area. You're encouraged to post your thoughts and ideas constructively, but please refrain from demanding change in how we operate and funnel information. If you have real concerns pertaining to this matter, please email wowcmfeedback@blizzard.com. This board is intended to discuss game play related topics pertaining to World of Warcraft.
