Anytime I've seen versions of programs or anything of the sort on the internet, they usually don't jump to the next number until something huge happens, like where practically the whole game changes.. hence, it being a 2.0, a new version.
The World of Warcraft patch versions are going up in rather large increments. We're already getting close to World of Warcraft v1.6. Should we be expecting something huge from v2.0? Because technically, that would imply that 2.0 is the second version of World of Warcraft.
Just wondering if World of Warcraft v2.0 is gonna be a big one.

You most likely won't see Warcraft 2 until they make an entirely different game (see EQ & EQ2)
This is the correct numbering format. The #.# is not a single number, but rather two separate numbers.
