Maybe once a month or so, a developer can take 30 or 45 minutes and talk to us in a moderated irc chat room, not unlike the one we had before release (yes I was there :). 30 minutes or so wouldn't be too much to ask, would it?

Actually, the Fan Site Program was recently relaunched for World of Warcraft. Its previous incarnation caused much to fall by the wayside; it was large and unwieldy. This new iteration focuses on active quality sites that will help support and inform our community, and is currently on an invite-only basis. It's only just gotten off the ground, but we hope to do great things with it. :)
EDIT: Keep in mind that, even if you're not a member of this program, you can still get your site recognized and lauded by submitting to the Community Watch at wowcommwatch@blizzard.com.[ post edited by Caydiem ]

Actually, the current sites that are invited to the program include some very specialized ones that are not simply "news sites". We will continue to look for and evaluate such sites in our search for those who help support the game and its community.

As I've said, Kurai, there's no means of "submission" due to the fact that it is an invite-only program. However, if you wish to discuss this on a more personal basis, I'll oblige...
