With the advance of the popularity of Warsong Gulch, and its High Honor point totals, Players have left the waiting lines of Alteric Valley to find games in Warsong Gulch. The first week of the release of Battlegrounds, brought together most players into the 80 man brawl, waiting in long lines, but to find a great experience inside ALteric Valley.
With the discovery of the huge amount of possible Honor gains in Warsong Gulch, and the short wait times there; Alteric Valley has become nothing more than a memory for some players. Alteric Valley although a great place to battle huge amounts of players, and advance your units trying to defeat the opposite faction, has died in its second week of release(atleast on Gorg)
Now those players who had once found a home in Alteric Valley, must wait and see what Blizzard will do to bring life back into Alteric Valley, or will this great battleground remain just a memory in the eyes of players.

The developers just came down and told us that they are bouncing around numerous ideas to balance the contribution points gained in Alterac Valley and Warsong Gulch.
The Murloc is in aggro range...

While I cannot say exactly what methods are being discussed, that was not one of them. As more information is given to us, we will let you know.

You need to be level 51 in order to enter Alterac Valley, but 55 is the minimum I would suggest =)
