That's pretty much what it's coming down to. My account is set to bill for another month tomorrow. The concept of paying you another 15 dollars to stand around for hours at a time just to play one 15 minute round of CTF in Warsong doesn't sound like much fun to me. Also, the fact that our server is so heavily imbalanced that there hasn't been an Alterac Valley instance in 5 days now isn't helping the case for you getting more of my money, either. I've been waiting, like everyone else, for a long time to play PVP Battlegrounds.. that's one of very few reasons I've chosen to stay.
The population balance problem exists. I don't care what you say, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what's going on here. What I, and THOUSANDS of other customers of yours want to know is: What are you going to do about it? Should we expect to not get into Alterac Valley at all because there's not enough Horde to fill up the roster to play? Is that just how it's going to be? If so, why should it even exist?
Something needs to be done, Blizzard.. and I would like to know what you folks are planning on doing before I commit another 15 dollars of my hard-earned money to your company. My fiance's account (another $15 a month you make from us) renews within the next 7 days. If I go, she goes.. so should we stick around and let you have another 30 bucks because you're going to do something about these glaring problems, or should we just cancel now?
Your response is awaited, and appreciated in advance.
Seven

We do have developers looking into the population imbalances that exist (primarily on PvE and RP realms). As I'm sure you understand, this is not something easily resolved, as any drastic change could have dire consequences. Rather than add something as a kneejerk reaction, those designers are carefully considering what can be done to resolve the problem before they implement anything.
My answer to you, Seven, is that we do plan to act to resolve the imbalance you see. You want specifics, I know, but specifics are one thing I don't have in this case due to the status of the developers' work. The problem is not being ignored and will be addressed once a solution is found.

Q u o t e: I am pleased to hear that the problem is indeed being acknowledged however the statement above confuses me.
Why is it *primarily* on PvE and RP realms. Most of the people who are freaking out (like me to some extent) are on PvP realms where the population imbalance was very noticeable from day one and where it is *glaring* now.
I get so confused every day. All the blue responses I read just make me more and more confused in general.
(another example was the response to the casual gamer thread about more content for casual gamers and the response that the next 20-30 man raid instance was geared toward casual gamers when it is painfully clear that casual gamers are not looking for more raid content....see my point?)
The reason why I say primarily on PvE and RP realms is that those are the realms with the most noticeable imbalance. We have the numbers and we look at them constantly -- PvP realms are, believe it or not, the most balanced across the board.

Q u o t e: Caydiem I do have to ask one thing though. Why was it during the time before battlegrounds were going to be implemented when people posted showing a clear imbalance of horde to alliance and visa versa that we were told those websites were inaccurate. That they were in no way close to being as imbalanced as they showed. Yet battlegrounds showed them to be just that. If you wonder why sometimes people question the blue there is one example.
Because they are inaccurate, Ignoble, and the realms are not as imbalanced as they show.
There is an imbalance, yes, but not to the extent third-party census sites display.
Does that clear up the confusion?
