I used to really enjoy Blizzard's work. This game... World of Warcraft or whatever it is called, is an absolutely great game. Or at least it has the potential to be.
Dubbed EverQuest "lite" by the hardcore and casual gaming community alike, this game was turned up-side down by it's own creator.
You, Blizzard, have ignored your players for too long. You can't update when needed, your servers are very laggy and the factions are completely unbalanced. The whole game is unbalanced. You only respond to .6% of the threads made. I doubt it is even that much, since I have not seen ALL of the threads. It is embarrassing. The CM's refuse to do their job.
If you did not know, a part of the CM's work is to present the developers with what the people want.
Apparently they aren't doing this.
You can see this plainly due to the fact that 94% of all the threads made on the forums hosted by Blizzard are made to buff/nurf a certain class, un-ban a certain player due to their "shoot first, ask questions later" attitude. I recently heard of a child that was refused play because of his "hacks". Yeah? Hacks or third-party programs are considered illegal. I also acknowledged the fact that the individual suffers from Cerebrial Palsy. His so called "hacks" were detected by a GM, before the GM even looked to see what they were. One was a FreeSpeech software that helped the child play, and one was a software for a ball mouse which is required for a person like him to use the computer at all. Please understand that this victim was born this way, and cannot do anything about it at this time. This is what the professionals call "prejudism".
This can get you sued, Blizzard.
Before I go on, please post your opinions. No "fanbois" allowed. They are basically teacher's pet and are not fair to the gaming community.
I don't care if you think I am flaming, nor do I care about being banned, or my thread being locked.
( Hey, go ahead and ban me. This is free speach and you will be sued. )
Go and try some other MMORPGs.
Blizzard has the ability to turn this game into the greatest MMO of all time.
Dear Blizzard,
You lied.
You promised us epic quests.
You promised us hero classes.
You promised us battlegrounds.
You promised us honor system.
You promised us your team of live dedicated personell would be updating the game at all times.
The game has added 2 new dungeons, the honor system, and battlegrounds. The game is so biased towards hardcore gamers it is sick.
Why don't you go and see what Everquest 1 & 2 have added?
Do you disagree with me, check the forums... ANY forum on the World of Warcraft website. They are full of suggestions and pleas from players. Then look and see what the employees at Blizzard are doing, aka review patch notes. They aren't doing the things that matter. Don't ignore this, seriously think about it. Don't come in here looking cool, just to troll. You aren't a fanboi. That bull$!@% is ridiculous. Also, watch if my thread was locked or deleted then I have made my point. If it wasn't then they either looked at it and agreed or they aren't doing their job.
It is a win-win situation here.
If you have taken the time to read this, I thank you.
-Naralex-
What grade did you make for reading comprehension? If you paid any attention what-so-ever, I was implying that WoW can be a better game than anything ever created. Where does it state that I enjoy playing Everquest? I was using it as an example, since it is the largest rival against World of Warcraft. I don't play EQ regularly, but it seems like the costumer service is greater than Blizzard's and the fanbase is way larger.[ post edited by Naralex ]

We do present the developers with what you want, despite what you believe, Naralex.
The mistaken assumption here, however, is the developers are required to follow through with those wishes, which is not the case. They take your thoughts into consideration, but they are the ones hired and paid to develop the game; they are the ones who enticed you to keep an active account with the world they created and the features they designed. They hear what you have to say. They know your beliefs on the classes, on the honor system, and on the game in general. We are not failing in that duty.
They are allowed, encouraged, implored to use their discretion in what they implement. They do not blindly implement every player suggestion -- that would be madness, considering that many player suggestions are at odds with one another. Designing by popular opinion is a dangerous road that can lead to a very poor end product. They listen to what we give them, and what we give them are your own words; but they must take a more worldly and lengthy view. What you feel must be done to the game is not necessarily what will be done, and that's simply all there is to it.
Another mistaken assumption is that the First Amendment applies to the private property of a company, which these boards are. Blizzard is not the government; I would be careful about such threats if you're not sure of what you speak. :)
In the future, I would suggest phrasing your posts in a less combative and more constructive light. I have no problem discussing such subjects with you folks, but I'd rather we do it as civil human beings, hm? :)

Q u o t e: I must have been mistaken Caydiem. I believe you posted once before about a matter like this. Heh, you said that one of your jobs is to present the developers with our opinions.
I suggest, Naralex, you go back and read again the first part of my post, where I state explicitly that we do take your feedback to the developers. Again, your mistaken assumption, from what I have read here, is that they then must turn around and implement those suggestions and feedback.
We are paid to deliver your feedback to the developers and give information to you when we have it. We do our job.
The developers are paid to develop the game based on their own expertise -- they have the option of working from player input to change things and make new features, but it is not required. They do their job.
Is that more clear?

Q u o t e: They may not blindly put in ever suggestion, but they DO make some stupid changes...
Remember that other patch that almost god frost mages nerfed to uselessness? Putting diminishing returns on frost effect, and after a while they would be IMMUNE to damage? WHY are we left to the testing, to where we have to whine to you guys so you change it? WHY don't you have people testing these things? I doubt that anyone in the developing team even plays a mage.
The slowing effect is separate from the damage in the next content patch -- thus slowing effects (wing clip, frost shock, etc) will still do damage even if the target is immune.
See? We're listening. ;)

Q u o t e: Caydiem, you said you wanted to speak civilly, so here goes: you say you are delivering our feedback to the developers. I believe that. But then you say the developers don't implement everything they are given.
Now, one must ask the glaringly obvious question: so what the heck are they doing?? I won't mention any specific CLASSES that are feeling "ignored" but come on Caydiem, please, can you at least not see it from our point of view? What are we to think when we see NOTHING done about certain classes? Besides of course hotfixes for exploits and new icons...
They are developing -- yes, changing the game and such in the ways they feel are proper -- in accordance with their own designs and plans, primarily. This may not coincide with what you feel should be done.

Actually, you're incorrect. The quote below is what I was referring to in that section:
