Hello everyone,
This events below occured to my brother in law. I am hoping that we as a community can help him out, as every attempt to reason with the in GMs has been exhausted.
The back story:
My brother in law is a 42 old professional. He has been playing WoW since release and has enjoyed many hours of fun and hard work. He recently set up the computer so his severely handicapped son could enjoy the game his father had garnished so much fun from.
The event:
As of this morning, his account was temp. suspended and the banned (in a matter of minutes) for the unauthorized use of 3rd party programs. These programs consisted of a speech command piece of softare and a piece of hardware allowing the emulation of a mouse via a wheelchair mounted joystick. While WoW's terms clearly state that no 3rd party programs can be used to give an advantage over other players, banning an account over a piece of software and a piece of hardware that helps a disabled child obtain a level of playablilty is just wrong. One could even argue that Blizzard could ban your account due to you mouse having an extra button, or a 30 inch monitor.
The support:
I've included (with his permission) all of the emails sents back and forth from my brother in law to blizzard. I have also left the account name in with the hopes that with your support we can get this account re-instated. It's appallable that the company who runs this game would discrimate against the disabled community in such (or any) manner.
Thank you if you have read this far.
