I understand the queue system is a necessary evil to try to ensure equal sides. However the system is very inconvenient to most players and takes away from game play. As it stands now, at least on my server, the only time you get into a BG without waiting an hour or more is during prime time.
Players are currently free to move around after they are queued up however I think this needs to be improved further. For example, yesterday I got in a queue (which showed a 12 minute wait) and waited for 30 minutes. At that point I decided I would go do something else until the BG started. I ported to Org to do some banking and then decided I would finish some of the new Hinderlands quests. Run to Zep, Zep to UC, run into UC to Bat Handler, fly to TM, start to run to Hinderlands. Suddenly I get the pop up that my BG is ready. Cool, I click and away I go.
I get in the BG and it ends 3 minutes later due to lack of people and I am booted out to the entrance. A full hour wasted and I am back where I started.
I would like to make a few suggestions to impove a queue system that does not look like it is going to go away any time soon. Anyone reading this thread please add your suggestions as well.
- Put a BG entrance (at least for CTF) on each continent. Same BG's just mutiple entrances.
- Move BG entrances to the major cities. Forget the storyline/RP of why the BG entrance is currently where it is. Last time I checked the queque system wasnt part of the storyline or RP.
I'll think of more suggestions just wanted to get something started.

We agree, and we are already working on a few things to make getting into the BG Queue more convenient.
