Subject: Alchemy or Reroll
I'm at a crossroads and i need popular general opinion....

do I reroll as a mage or do i trash 175pts of smithing to start alchemy.

This seems like an odd question so let me explain:

In 5 instance runs I've been healed 1 time. All 5 times there were at least 2 shamans and 1 druid...while I know they aren't the greatest of healers they do better than nothing. now 20% (1 outta 5) doesn't seem bad, but there are many battles and deaths in each run, so i'm healed less than 1% of the time i'm in battle unless I use a potion.

So I figure if the battlegrounds are going to be nothing more than selfish nuking i might as well make a mage, or try to salavage my warrior and take up alchemy...what do you all think

(note:this was posted as i figure y'all are looking for something to do while waiting an hour to get into your BG :-P )

Necabote, it sounds to me like you've had some bad luck, nothing more. I've acted as main healer in instances while playing both the Druid and the Shaman, and I'd have to say that everyone, regardless of class received at least a few heals throughout the course of the run. In fact, many of the instance runs I've done leading up to Sunken Temple were completed with no casualty.

It's going to work much the same in Battlegrounds. If you're in a group that is operating without organization and not playing as a team, you will probably find yourself in a bind without anyone to heal you. And while being able to use a potion every few minutes is advantageous, I don't believe it will help much if you're grouped with players that aren't willing to work together, or offer up a heal to wounded member of their team.
