Complaint:
"People gank lowbies."
Blizzard's Response:
Honor System (which didn't) and Battlegrounds will fix it!
Complaint:
"The side's are imbalanced - Honor system is greatly schewed against Horde."
Blizzard's Response:
Battlegrounds will fix it!
Complaint:
"Hillsbrad is a constant war between Horde and Alliance, making it nearly impossible for level 20 horde players to level there."
Blizzard's Response:
Battlegrounds will fix it!
Complaint:
"Classes are imbalanced, blah blah is overpowered blah blah is underpowered."
Blizzard's Response:
Battlegrounds will fix it! You can't tell class imbalance in 40v40, anyways.
Complaint:
"The end game is severely lacking."
Blizzard's Response:
Don't worry, Battlegrounds will fix it!
Complaint:
"Orgrimmar and Undercity have severely weak back entrances, while Alliance cities are all extraordinarily defended."
Blizzard's Response:
Who will want to attack those towns when Battlegrounds is out?
etc. etc.
Seems to me a little foolish, as all Battlegrounds will do is take 80 players (40 for each Battleground) from Horde, while the overpopulated Alliance will have 80 players in the Battleground and still have 80+ players actively participating in PvP.
I'd feel much more comfortable if this basket was made out of, you know, woven wood, instead of the flimsy paper it looks to be.[ post edited by Abunai ]

That's how one type of battleground will work, not all of them. ;)
That said, however, some of the development team is currently focused on finding ways to balance the Alliance to Horde ratio. Battlegrounds, while a major feature to be sure, is not the only thing we're doing to "fix" certain problems. :)

Q u o t e: OMG Caydiem, just ADMITTED that HORDE IS OUTNUMBERED BY ALLIANCE!!!! Blizzard has been freaking lying to us this whole time, continually saying that their servers are balanced, yet Caydiem here and now admitted that wasn't true...
Wrong.
The PvP realms are the most balanced, however, certain PvE realms have a very significant imbalance. What we have stated in the past is as follows:
1) The realms are more balanced than third-party census sites show them to be. (True.)
2) PvP realms are, by and large, balanced in terms of Alliance to Horde ratio. (Also true.)
What I am stating -- and have stated in the past -- is that there is a significant imbalance on certain realms.
No inconsistencies there, just some vagueness that needed to be clarified. ;)
