Subject: Healing and Contribution Points |

I've heard yes and no, I want to know the final answer. Does healing add to contribution points? From reading posts here I came to believe that healing doesn't contrbute directly to contribution points. But when I go online people tell me they do.
here is what I know:
1. Damage directly effects how many contribution points you get from a kill.
2. Contribution points are distrbuted evenly in a group/raid.
what i have questions about:
1. Does healing directly effect how much contribution I get?
2. If it does, how does it work when I heal someone not in my party/raid?
3. If it doesn't, are there any plans to make healing directly effect contribution?
If anyone can answer this, please do. I hope a blue will respond so I can finally get this settled.

You will not gain contribution points for healing targets, however, as other posters have pointed out, you will receive contribution points when members of your party (or raid) kill an enemy considered honorable. This will allow players to focus on healing members of their party, while gaining contribution.
While healing members outside your group or raid will not grant contribution points, it is certainly a nice things to do. ;)

Keeping your group alive through the use of healing spells, results in more contribution points for everyone in your party, including the healer, Liera. You're certainly free to respec, however, I do hope that you see the value in healing.[ post edited by Eyonix ]

This is how the system works if you're soloing, Sinwave. Contribution points are split up in a group much the same way experience points are shared. Meaning, the points will be split, regardless of your damage output, but still, taking your level into consideration.[ post edited by Eyonix ]

my hunch is you don't know yet hence why you didn't answer it. But I thought I'd give it a shot anyways.
We don't have any plans at this time to change the Honor System in such a way that healing players outside your party would reward contribution points. If such a change is planned, we will certainly make the information available.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the designers on this particular inquiry. I will post whatever information they provide on this subject in the Warlock forum. I'm not sure if they will respond before the weekend, unfortunately.
