First of all I'd like to say this is the first time I've been able to log on the forums in over a week, Please fix them!!!
Secondly, I love this game, there are no comparisons, and you find that out afer going back to a former game (eg AO for me) or playing another one that has recently launched (WoW>EQ2)
Okay. So something I'd like to express my sorrow over.
Does everyone remember the last header on the WoW Main site? The man with black hair wearing the nice new Honor System armor. Yeah, well why is it we were stuck with a flambouyant anime looking man then the beautiful art Chris Metzen gave us back in Warcraft I, II, and III, you know the huge bulking arms, oversized weapons, ferocious orcs with spit flying fom their mouths....Now we get this petite guy who looks like he'd be better suited for a GAP magazine ad with his hair all whispy like that.
Honestly the art of those games is what drew me to World of Warcraft in the first place!! The idea of playing a noble, old, white-haired Paladin with huge muscles and even bigger armor was the whole reason I watched this game from early beta.
I'm sick of how since World of Warcraft launched it seems as if the general quality of everything Blizzard has gone down to sub-par of their once best-quality-in-business standard. My example is one of but many things that are falling in quality, soon I fear Blizzard will no longer stand out from the pack and become just some other gaming company.
I mentioned that I love this game and that no other compares, so why do I see this as a lack of quality? The reason Blizzard is at the top is because they have such high standards that aren't set by rival companies, Blizzard sets its own standards, and holds true to them, this is why they are the best. They need to not lose sight of this, WoW's overwhelming success is a byproduct of it.

He never left, and he did several concepts for the game. There's a lot of Metzen in the in-game art if you know where to look. :)
