Words fail me to express my level of disappointment with the current WoW forums. The current boards are simply atrocious on so many levels:
1. Inability to login with your main character.
2. Login servers go up and down like a yo-yo.
3. Search function stinks - the only way to find a "meaningful" post from a blue is to click the thread and scan dozens of posts looking for a change of color.
4. Lack of a user-moderated system - the proportion of trolls to well-meaning educated posters is unreal.
5. Posts expire for no apparent reason.
6. No functionality to ignore unsavory people.
7. No ability to add threads to favorites
8. No personal messaging.
9. No friends list.
Prove you are worth your good name, Blizzard! Hire 3 developers, lock them in a room, slide them pizzas under the door until they've implemented a new forum system.
Just fix em. That is all.
Orc stun resist fix? Enchanting scrolls on auction!

We're working on a forum revamp with much of what you suggest. There are higher priorities at the moment, but it's definitely on the list and we'll keep pushing for it. :)

No, I am not saying that at all.
There are higher priorities for the web team, also.
