Looking through the Test of Honor official rules it appears that Blizzard will be using this contest as an avenue to release our personal information for marketing purposes.
The relevant portions of the contest rules are quoted from: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/contests/05-04-19-honorsystem/rules.html
5. How to Enter the Contest:
A. You are automatically entered if you own a copy of the "World of Warcraft" computer software, have an active "World of Warcraft" player account, and earn at least one (1) point in "Player vs. Player" combat.
8. Collection of Information. The information collected to enter the Contest will be used to contact you in the event that you are chosen to receive a prize. Additionally, Sponsor will use this information for marketing purposes, and to contact you regarding offers, promotions and other contests related to this and/or other products distributed by Sponsor.
My assessment of this is that by engaging in PvP you are consenting to direct marketing. I have not found any manner to opt out from this contest yet still engage in PvP combat.
I have also checked the current Terms of Use located at:
https://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/agreement.html
and I do not see any consent in there to use personal information for marketing purposes.
I welcome any comments from Blizzard or corrections if I have misunderstood.
EDIT: Adding the most useful set of legal links:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/
This appears to be all the current legal agreements we are under when we play the game.
EDIT 2:
As several people have pointed out:
15. Contest Sponsor. The sponsor of the Contest is Blizzard Entertainment.
So it does appear that we are only re-agreeing to be marketed to by Blizzard. I hope this is the only use of our personal information with regards to any contests. I also wish to opt-out of the contest and I still don't see anywhere to do so. I do not wish to enter this contest yet I may wish to PvP.[ post edited by Lyzzt ]

Sorry for the long quote. Blizzard Entertainment is indeed the sole sponsor of the contest. We will not be selling or distributing your personal information to any third parties! This has been confirmed by legal.
Please read the rules by clicking the link below. Make sure you don't skip the first part -- the one in all caps:

Q u o t e: I looked at your link and it said the same thing as the original poster??

Additionally, Sponsor will use this information for marketing purposes, and to contact you regarding offers, promotions and other contests related to this and/or other products distributed by Sponsor. - that's Bizzard
If legal says you arent using it for marketing purposes then TAKE IT THE FOOK OUT.
We are supposed to sign a contract that says one thing in writing, but because you say something verbally we are supposed to accept it as fact.
Take it out. Then there wont be an issue.
You skipped the first part, didn't you? Don't worry - I'll paste it for you this time:
1. Eligibility. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT, INC., ("SPONSOR") IS THE SPONSOR OF THIS CONTEST ("CONTEST").
now that you know who the Sponsor is:
8. Collection of Information. The information collected to enter the Contest will be used to contact you in the event that you are chosen to receive a prize. Additionally, Sponsor will use this information for marketing purposes, and to contact you regarding offers, promotions and other contests related to this and/or other products distributed by Sponsor.
The fact that you are playing the game and posting on the forums means you already agreed to this. We will be using your infomation internally. No other companies have, or will have, access to your information.
