Subject: Why do people threaten to cancel?
If you look at the sales, compare stastics from sites, or just plain out google it, you will see that WoW has well over two million playing customers...

So why do people always threaten to cancel? A thousand people could say on this forum they were going to cancel. So what?

Could anyone tell me the point?

Q u o t e:
You also have to ask yourself why people complain about stuff on this forum. "Waaaahhhh I just got PWNED, Nerf Bat PLeez!!!"

I mean, it's not like the forum mods can actually do anything about it (Sorry Cay, Fang, Eyo, and Ty.) The Devs never read the boards, so why do people bother?

Ok, I'm not all that offended, but consider this:

The designers do not work on the "current" version of the game. They are working at least 1 or 2 versions out. (Bugs get worked on by programmers and QA.)

That means maybe players feel a need for an immediate change, but the designers know of new functionality or change that is coming that will resolve this issue in a different way. Sometimes we can tell the public about it, sometimes we can't.

There ARE times when the community team actions some change by detailing the concerns by players (this is where the well-written and constructive writing really helps) in a structured and thought-out way.

But please consider that game mechanic (class abilities, PvP system) type changes are extremely sensitive and so the devs don't take as much player suggestions on those systems.
