The ill-tended Arboretum in Dire Maul is silent. Dust drifts down on the still bodies of hewn treants. The twisted, lifeless flowers are strewn across the cracked stone path, laying where they fell prey to sword and spell.
A lone squirrel pokes its chestnut head from a knot in one of the ancients. Once ensured the makers of noise have gone, it skitters down the whorls of bark to the grass below. It spies a lone crumb of food on one of the cobbles, no doubt left in the wake of destruction. Checking around once more, the rodent makes haste to the tender morsel.
It pauses a moment, clutching the savory crumb in its paws, taking in the scent. So enraptured is the squirrel that it fails to notice the ground shaking slightly, the ponderous crescendo of clomping ever closer. Finally a loud CLOMP cuts through its reverie; it whips about, eyes wide with terror, taking in only a huge hoof and a glimmering blade sweeping down--
*SQUEEEEEAK!*
"Caydiem, that's not very Druid-like," the troll shaman remarks as they stride past the tiny corpse.
The Tauren looks back at her companion and shrugs. "It's all part of the circle of life, my friend. You wouldn't understand." Her horned head swings back around, blue eyes seeking movement in the shadows for the next unsuspecting critter...[ post edited by Caydiem ]

I am allowed to post a community building response once in a while.
I was referring to my dagger (Lorespinner, currently)... it was "sweeping down" because I was running while stabbing. :P This actually happened, I'm sad to say.
I used the female notation to avoid further confusion into thinking I'm male...
...and the Alchemist's Stone is a legacy problem; it should be the Philosopher's Stone, and the developers are aware of the issue.
