Subject: Name Tags showing = bad (blue)
Anyone else think there shouldn't be name tags above the enemy's names unless targeted?

Personally on PvP servers I do, so I am making this post to get peoples ideas, for or against. I think as long as you can see it when you have them targeted that's good, otherwise we should not see it on PvP servers.

So far here are some of the advantages I see to not having the name of your enemy showing like a huge neon sign saying "Kill Me!"

1. Would greatly reduce player lag in huge raids. It's long been known as a trick to turn off player names during a raid to reduce lag.
2. Terrain would now be important factor in PvP. You would be able to hide in bushes or behind a log, as it stands now bushes and logs and what you would think are hiding places, instead they are places to get stuck. A shadow priest would be able to hide in shadows. There would even be times where the color of clothing would even camouflage people.
3. Would not be able to single out key players as easy making group PvP more of a challenge. This would also cut down on griefing I think since it would be harder to find people overall.
4. Player size would play factor, just think of a Gnome Rogue that is shrunk not having name showing (maybe that's not a good thing lol).
5. Would make skills like Track Humanoid more important.
6. Would make lower level PvP zones safer for newbie's since they would not have the "Kill Me!" sign.
7. Would greatly reduce player lag in huge raids
8. Would be more realistic. Not that this is supposed to be like real life or anything, but running around hunting an enemy and all I have to look for is a red text box is sort of gay.

Feel free to add any positive or negative comments.

On a last note I would just like to say to Blizzard… If you want to have a challenging PvP system, which is true PvP. Where people have to use all their skills, and have a ton of extra factors like the ones I listed, then this should happen.

I believe we asked this before and it's not something that is being considered. We don't want to hide information from players to the point where it is difficult to see an oncoming enemy.

The 1 change that is being looked at from these prior discussions is the hiding of enemy levels to go with a color coded system. But with the honor system coming out, this change might need some reconsidering.
