Please tell me what the purpose is since when realms are down it doesn't show them as down??
4 Worlds are down not one of them shows as down in the realm status page. You go to log in and the realm still shows as up and runnign in your realm list??? Please explain this??

They are up. A World Server (continent, such as Kalimdor) being down does not mean the realm is down as a whole.
That said, realms with that issue are being restarted so you folks can get back in and play. :)
