Subject: True Story: WoW server outage saved my life!! |

I know everyone complains about server outages and downtime, but believe it or not they actually saved my life.
Last week during the outages on Proudmoore, I was playing as the server went down.
Knowing that it was going to be a while until the servers came back up I decided to go watch TV on the other end of the house...
About 20 minutes later I heard an EXPLOSION coming from my room. I ran into the room and realized that I was looking at my front yard, and a Dodge Durango...
What happened was that a driver was speeding through my neighborhood and lost control of his vehicle in the rain, causing him to loose control and drive through my front yard, and into my house.
Where he hit was actually right where my computer is (was). My entire computer, desk, and cabinet in that section of the room were completely destroyed, and the shrapnel from it ruined other things in my room.
Luckily my family has insurance, so everything can be replaced. What is scary though is knowing that if the servers hadn't gone down, I would not be here today.
I know everyone here gives Blizzard a hard time for bringing their equipment down for service, but I would like to thank them for their maintenence...
They LITERALLY saved my life.
