Why were petitions banned? It gives Blizzard a good idea of whether people are for an idea or against an idea. (This forum is still a means of communication to Blizzard, right? It gets harder and harder to tell everyday). Honestly, Blizzard, I don't understand how you let the trolls who are obsessed with murlocs to roam free but the people who make intelligent petitions are breaking rules.

This is a discussion forum.
Petitions aren't discussions. It is preferred that you get your point across via an insightful post rather than page upon page of non-constructive spam, much of it by the same people.
It's not a bannable offense, it's simply frowned on.

That's community building, which we do allow in moderation.
Also, you may have noticed that the mood is somewhat lighter around here, today being what it is. I am not discouraging that. :)
