I also read Cay's sticky and I agree with you. Perhaps she's got something personal against bumps, don't know. But I do agree with you.
Why? Because I won't read anything not on the first page. If it's not here, it's not worth the read.
This from using many other forums where the level of activity keeps the important stuff up top. But on this forum, there is TONS of drivel that drives good discussion deep into the depths of the pages.
I'm not wasting my time searching for it. I've tried, it's just not worth it.
For instance as I wait to log in, I see a post I want to read. I finally get logged in and the page refreshes...the post is no longer on the first page. I go to the 2nd page. Not there. I go to the third page...not there.
So where is it? Where do I go next? Do I keep digging deeper? What if someone had replied and it was again on the first page...I could dig forever and not find it again.
So..if your post isn't on the first page. I don't read it.
Bumping isn't spamming. Bumping is just trying to keep a post afloat in a sea of crap.
I respect that Mods have a job to do and I've never had a problem with a mod on any forum. But I am starting to develop a strong dislike for a mod here in the general forum.

These aren't some draconian rules I alone am implementing. The Forum Guidelines are nothing more than clarification in regards to the Code of Conduct, and the entire Community Team here is in agreement with the rules presented.
If no one bumped posts, threads might just stay afloat longer. ;)
