We have reviewed last night's events further and have concluded that we did not compensate certain deserving realms that were down through a good portion of peak time. In addition to that, the queues and other debilitating effects caused by an inordinate number of new players on the remaining online realms was a significant blow to an average night of gameplay for everyone. Furthermore, we recognize that providing full rest bonus is not an adequate means of compensation for our level-60 players. So, to that end, the one-day credit discussed by Mike Morhaime in his message to players yesterday will now be extended to all players across all realms.
Once again, we sincerely regret that yesterday's maintenance required that such a large number of our realms remain offline well beyond our initial estimates. However, we're happy to report that the maintenance we conducted has resulted in better performance overall. Our engineers will continue to monitor realm performance through the night and be prepared to take quick action should the need arise.

Everyone was getting the rest state bonus, however, the level 60s were upset that they were getting nothing. Now they are getting a free day along with everyone else.
We are not giving level 60 players anything extra.
