As much as I love WoW, my true passion lies in Blizz's rts genre. My question to blizzard is will we ever see titles like WC4, and Starcraft2? After Blizzards HUGE success with their MMORPG genre and RPG genres will they think it neccassary to continue with RTS titles. Mainly I am really wanting to know if thiere will be a WC4. I dont want it to just stop becuase technically in WoW were shaping the story line.

Blizzard North is comprised of the development team that brought you the Diablo series, not Warcraft or StarCraft. With that being said, please keep in mind that there are multiple development teams within our Irvine California location, and future additions to either franchise are always a possibility. When we do announce a new project, it will be posted on the front page of our main site - www.blizzard.com.

Q u o t e: Blizzard has nothing to do with the diablo games so there's no reason diablo is going to be made "over" another game. Blizzard North and Blizzard are separate game studios that work on separate games. BN has been hiring new talent for a while now and is working on their latest project, and there is no way vivendi is letting the profitable diablo license rot so obviously a cookie cutter D3 is in the works.
As for blizzard, their WoW live team is in place and the rest are moving on to a new project, some signs point to SC2 (they were taking suggestions for what people want from SC2 in a previous thread on the official SC forums) or maybe a new franchise, but I think SC2 is more likely.
Blizzard and Blizzard North are one in the same, Bludhoofdown. The studio, located in San Mateo California consists of one of our development teams, which we have a few of, each dedicated to working on different projects.
