Subject: Constructive Post!
I was just Wowed by a thread I read.

How do we mention our problems with forums if they are not considered constructive?
Another player posts about not being able to login to post on general forum. It gets locked as not being constructive. Why are so many other posts not locked for not being constructive? Seriously, so much smoke and mirrors, what a joke.

The list of issues gets larger and larger:

-forum login failures
-randomly booted from in game
-lag in various locations in game, namely Ironforge and more populated areas
-use of community managers which seem understaffed and makes these CMs resort to so many canned responses it's unbelievable
-many companies can give release dates for patches, or much better updates on what will be patched
-certain companies give weekly updates on what is being tested (what EXACTLY is being tested)

Yes, I am trying to avoid discussion of any locked threads. Some of us just want to see changes, there are plenty of organizational models that worked with other game companies where the game failed. Wow seems to be a great game model, but failing in the community/communication area.

MMO players are picky, these forums prove it, but no matter if it's my $15 or everyones, we are still customers.

Again, I have no problem with posts that follow policy. The one post you mention had the topic "This forum blows." which, I hope you'll agree, is not the most constructive way of phrasing one's discontentment. It was unfortunate that I had to lock it, but I cannot edit others' posts and I cannot make exceptions to the rules.

If you see a post that is not constructive, please help us moderate the forums by reporting them with the biohazard symbol on the top right.

The lock is a warning. At times, if there is already a healthy discussion running in the thread, I will do just as you said, but I do not wish to keep threads open that violate policy.

And I do take action against repeat offenders of the policy, Throwgar. I follow the disciplinary procedure outlined in the code of conduct.
