Back in the day our ranged weapon DPS was decreased b/c we were found to be overpowered. Fair I suppose. I won't complain for our lack of decent weapon selections here. Now, however they are removing our unintended quiver haste. This effectively lowers our DPS for the same amount that was removed from our weapons in the previous "balance fix".
Blizzard has given us no word of increasing the DPS on our ranged weapons to their previous state, so I assume they are not. They ARE going to fix the bug that prevented our ammo DPS from being counted in our overall DPS in the character screen though. This makes it LOOK as if our DPS has been increased when really we were getting credit for the hidden ammo DPS all along. Nice sneaky way to make it look as though you aren't nerfing us, Blizz!
All in all, they ARE fixing a bug, I will give them that. Our entire class has been built around this bug, however, and now "fixing" it without properly rebalancing us is a nerf, plain and simple.
Everyone flame me if you want, but hunters have a vital role in your groups. We help bring things down quickly and require low maitenence. We don't die as easily as other DPS classes. We see the whole picture from our range and warn of patrols and runners. We pull aggro off healers with pets and distracting shot. We can do so much more with track and traps and feign death when given the chance. If our ranged DPS is reduced by this 10-15% as planned, WE WILL BE THAT MUCH LESS EFFECTIVE HELPING YOU! This is not 15% less effective Aspect of the Hawk or Aimed Shot or any one thing. This is a chunk off of our entire ranged DPS. Tell that to the priest who gets turned into hydra-chow b/c we can't pull aggro off him anymore. Tell that to the tank who dies when things have grown bleak and we couldn't get in those extra shots for the kill.
I am not asking Blizzard to make us demi-gods of DPS. I am asking for us to be allowed to maintain our current level of group effectiveness.

I simply was not expecting this kind of response, even knowing what has been on the hunter forums over the months.
To those who are trolling this thread and others like it: We as a class are terribly unfinished and have only received any feedback on our forums w/in the last week or so, and that was basically a reiteration of what we had already known. The only hunter bugs that have been attended to by Blizz are the couple that they found to be giving us "unintended" DPS boost. Call it whining if it makes you feel better about yourself but I call it complaining about what I deem to be poor customer service and poor development.
What should be kept in mind is that we all have been kept in the dark about a lot of things. We have legitimate concerns that are being left unanswered and unresolved. As paying customers we have a right to be perturbed. I posted because I am appalled that Blizz, if they respond at all (ha-ha!), either just tells us what we already know or plays some "smoke and mirrors" game in what seems to be an effort to appease us.
Like it or not, this thread has had over 25,000 views in under 12 hours, and there are a lot of people out there who share the same mind on this. Blizz, what we want are answers not piddly two-liners like this:
"Ranged weapon DPS was not decreased to address the ammo pouch/quiver haste % bug.
That bug has been addressed, but this rumor regarding ranged weapon DPS being nerfed to compensate is simple untrue."
