Inappropriate Guild Names
We are currently experiencing an issue which causes name changes performed on guild names to not take effect immediately. We are actively investigating a resolution to this issue, and a fix will be released as soon as one is available. In the meantime, guilds found with inappropriate names will be disbanded, as we cannot allow such names to persist within the World of Warcraft. Please bear with us until this issue is resolved and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Exploitation of High-End Content
Recently, the Game Master staff found certain players repeatedly exploiting specific high-end content in Molten Core. The raid participants continued this exploitation after being asked to stop. At this time, we are issuing suspensions to all accounts involved.
We encourage players to actively explore and defeat these encounters, but we ask that it is done in a manner intended by the design of the game. Using exploits is not something we tolerate. When possible, we will educate players on what is and is not intended by game design. If this education goes unheeded, action can and will be taken against those involved.
Game Master Emails
If you are not receiving any Game Master emails even though you are certain you're using the correct email address, realm, and account name, it is likely that a spam-filter or junk-filter is preventing the Blizzard messages from appearing in your Inbox. Several major email providers (such as Hotmail, MSN, and especially AOL) have built-in spam-blocking features that will intercept - and in many cases, actually delete -- Game Master messages.
Please check with your mail provider and have them manually walk you through the steps necessary to make sure ALL spam and junk filters have been completely disabled on your account. Due to the wide variety of email providers and spam/junk mail options, Blizzard representatives cannot walk you through this directly, but the support team for your mail provider should be able to.
In addition to turning off junk filters, please add the following email addresses to your "Safe" list, "Contact" list, or the equivalent for your mail service, so that you will be guaranteed to receive any email sent from these addresses:
· wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com
· wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com
· wownamechange@blizzard.com
· donotreply@blizzard.com
Thank you and enjoy your travels in the Lands of Azeroth!

Submitting Tickets
When submitting a ticket, it is best to provide as much detailed information the first time around. Any names of quests, items, or players involved with the issue you are reporting can help the Game Masters do as much research as possible before even addressing you, the player.
The most effective way to submit a ticket is to create one, detailed ticket and let our processes work their course. Submitting multiple tickets on various characters is not going to expedite the process. Abandoning a ticket and resubmitting will also slow down response time. As it stands, we address all tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis. Having one, informative ticket regarding your issue will help us help you in the most timely fashion possible.
Also, when a Game Master informs you that your ticket will be escalated, please do not resubmit, abandon or otherwise alter your ticket. This will only serve to prevent you from receiving the attention your issue deserves.
Finally, we have a couple methods of contacting players if they are not online at the time their ticket is addressed. One involves in-game mail. The other involves e-mail sent to the registered e-mail address for the account. If you feel a ticket has been "lost" or "disappeared", please check either of these outlets for contact from a Game Master.
We do everything we can to address all of your issues in a timely manner and do not want to see the mechanics of the petition system hinder you or us from receiving assistance.[ post edited by Herzog ]

As a follow-up to submitting tickets, a known issue with editing tickets has been resolved. Tickets may now have information added to them and retain previously submitted text.

Avoiding the AFK flag
Please be aware that the use of third party applications designed to prevent a player from being flagged as AFK is a violation of the Terms of Use agreement. Players who are found using such third party applications will be actioned accordingly. For more details, please refer to our in-game policy found at www.worldofwarcraft.com. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Players found exploiting the terrain in Warsong Gulch to bypass the intended pathways leading to either base, or using the terrain in such a way that they're rendered "unattackable", will be actioned according to our polices listed in the Terms of Use agreement under "Rules Relating to Game Play".

Sentry Totem exploit
Players who are found using a Sentry Totem to float in the air and attack targets in a manner where they can not properly attack back is considered an exploit of game mechanics.
The development team is currently working on a solution, and until that time, we ask that players refrain from engaging in this behavior.
