What -- Why -- When

Bit of a bug infested week here folks. If you are missing an item that was reimbursed by a Game Master before April(This Year), it is an error caused by a faulty maintenance script, dangnabit! Do nay fear though, Thundy has told us (http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general-en&t=991214) to contact a Game Master about any missing items to get them back. The affected realms are Ahn'Qiraj, Bronzebeard, Chromaggus, Dentarg, Drak'thul, Emeriss, Executus, Khadgar, Kul Tiras, Mazrigos, Moonglade, Talnivarr and Trollbane.

Last week there was a bug with the honour update that prevented some realm's honour was not calculated properly. Aeus told us (http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-pvp-en&t=199305) not to fear, but some realms are still experiencing problems. The original list of affected realms were: Agamaggan, Aggramar, Al'Akir, Arathor, Aszune, Azjol-Nerub, Bladefist, Bloodhoof, Bloodscalp, Burning Blade, Doomhammer, Draenor, Dragonblight, Emerald Dream, Sunstrider, Twilight's Hammer, Warsong and Zenedar, and other realms have been reported to be having problems also.

Thundy explains (http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general-en&t=987716) the past problem with Switch/Solo card payments. It seems to have been fixed now, and the payment option has been re-enabled so you don't have to use pre-paid cars any more.

Migration Update

Scared you might leave your guild behind? I know I would be. Thanks to Thundy (http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general-en&t=975149) this shouldn't be a problem. Simply follow the instructions in that thread to send him an email and all your guild will be transferred, now that's service!

Aeus has posted a new Migration FAQ(http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general-en&t=977542) - Give it a read before you start moaning!

Remember that Blizzard can close down or redirect any migration at any time based on the population of the involved realms, so move fast! Also, the migration may be closed on wednesdays due to the extra load on the servers after maintenance. The migrations will be open only between 03:00 and 15:00 CEST (GMT/UTC +2) each day.

Battleplan

http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general-en&t=989342

A lot has happened since the last Battleplan: Ahn'Qiraj and the war effort, new dungeon armor sets, paladin and priest talent reviews, weather effects, linked auction houses, and much more...

The newest battleplan has been released, and concentrates on servers over content due to the issues we have been experiencing recently.

Read it above, or view these easy digestible bullet points:
  • New data centre to be put up around the end of May
  • More migrations to balance the population
  • Server caps to be increased by 25%
  • All old servers to be upgraded
  • Paid character transfer system planned for summer
  • Testing all minor patches on the PTR
  • World of Warcraft will be getting even better

This seems like the answer we've been waiting for. An end to lag, disconnections and server explosions. Let's just hope it goes as smoothly ;)

    Mage Talent Review Progress

Blizzard used a 3rd party source to release the information on the Mage Talent Review. It didn't go so well, but we managed to get the page pretty fast for ya'll to see. There are no large core changes, but more tweaks and balance changes to the Mage tree. You can read the sticky (http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-mage-en&t=150585) in the Mage Forum for more information.

Note that these changes are not yet set in stone, so please continue to discuss them on the Mage board and criticise to your heart's content <3

    The Informant
Links may mysteriously vanish over time

This is Schwick's last Informant. I'd like to say he's been a great help, and invaluable to the success of the WW. Since he added this column, sales have gone up 300% in France, Germany and the UK, and almost 1000% in Darnassus. Do nay worry though, the Informant will continue with all it's juicy goodness still intact!

The classes Blood Elves can play have changed. First it was "Mage, Priest, Warrior, Warlock, Rogue & Hunter", but now it is "Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock and Warrior". Things might still change though.

Good news for the Druids: "Innervate" will be replaced with "Swiftmend" (consumes a Rejuvenation or Regrowth effect to produce an instant heal). "Innervate" will be a core spell.

A word has fallen about "Fee based migration". It will go live this summer. Further details are unknown.
