An amusing incident in the Redridge Mountains:
I was round a friend's house watching her playing WoW (a guildy). She spied a chest and I suggested she fight through the gnolls to get it. One by one - sometimes two by two - she picked them off. She's a rogue and at the time was still relatively new to the game although she had mastered the basics. The last two gnolls were guarding the chest. Kill them and the chest was hers. She sapped one and got stuck into the other.
During the fight, the first one came out of sap. It was gonna be a tough fight now, but one I knew she could win. Then the chest would be hers, and well deserved it would be too. Then a nice little Gnome ran up and started opening the chest!
"VANISH!" I shouted.
Without questioning why, my guildy hit the vanish button.... and both gnolls started laying into the gnome.
While he fought for his life, my fellow rogue calmly opened the chest, looted it, and we watched as the gnome managed to kill one of the gnolls, but with his health low, he fled.
Last we saw of him he was scurrying up a hill with a near-full health axe-wielding gnoll baying for his blood.
He got what he deserved :-)
Anyone have any other amusing anecdotes along those lines?
Has anyone ever enjoyed their trip to Gnomeregan?

I was in badlands with my hunter fighting a mob a few months ago, when I noticed a warrior that was 6 levels below me sneaking up behind a rock and watching me… He waited for some time until I got to about 10% health and then he charged, just as I landed the finishing blow to the mob…ding…
The Moral of the story? Don't gank people who are low on health for cheap honor, it may turn in to a long run back to your corpse! :)
