Subject: 27/04 Authentication Update |

For several months now we've researched potential authentication upgrades and evaluated how those system changes could be implemented with minimal impact on our service. We recently decided on a specific authentication solution and are currently taking the necessary steps to implement the associated hardware and software. The new platform should help alleviate the login issues that players have experienced, including both forum- and game-login processes.
Additional information on our new authentication platform, as well as an ETA on when the installation of the platform will be finalized, will be provided soon.

Update 22:50 CEST, Friday May 26th
We're currently aiming to do the authentication update during the first of second maintenance in June, i.e. June 7th or 14th.[ post edited by Thundgot ]

We're currently aiming to do the authentication update during the first or second maintenance in June, i.e. June 7th or 14th.
Update 12:30 CEST, Wednesday June 14th
Due to rescheduling the authentication update has been delayed. However, we added new functionality to the authentication system during the maintenance on June 7th which will help on the responsiveness of the authentication when faced with a large number of players logging in at the same time. We'll try to have a new ETA on the authentication update for you soon.

The authentication upgrade is scheduled for the maintenance on Wednesday June 21st.[ post edited by Thundgot ]
