What - Why - When

That's 5000 nubcakes permanently banned for hacking, cheating, trading in-game items for real life and other heinous crimes against humanity. Some faulty hardware has been discovered by the commando hamster squad and stealth fix0red(http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general-en&t=792387). This means improved performance, hurrah and all that. The realms affected by the hardware were Neptulon, Twisting Nether, Ragnaros, The, Maelstrom, Sylvanas, Vashj, Bloodfeather, Darksorrow, Frostwhisper, Kor'gall, Defias Brotherhood, The Venture Co., Lightning's Blade and Haomarush. I don't know about you, but Vashj seems a bit better to me :)
Technical issues struck once more(http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general-en&t=786253) and screwed up the migration process for the Trollbane and Mazrigos migrations last week. It too has been fixed, and the migration is to run again this Monday and Tuesday.
Migration Update
Remember that Blizzard can close down or redirect any migration at any time based on the population of the involved realms, so move fast! Also, the migration may be closed on wednesdays due to the extra load on the servers after maintenance. The migrations will be open only between 03:00 and 15:00 CEST (GMT/UTC +2) each day.
Last week's disaster is being rerun from January 23rd to January 24th(Also a rerun of the December 5th-9th 2005 that had some bugs)

New Realms!
Yarrr, we have been blessed with two new English realms(http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general-en&t=794553). They will be opened after this week's maintenance, and free to create characters on from the get go. There will be no migration to these realms to ensure fairness for the new players on them, so you can level in comparable peace :)

Scarshield Legion <RP PvP>
For the lore junkies, Xavius(http://www.wowwiki.com/Xavius) was a Night Elf who assisted the Burning Legion in the first invasion. The Scarshield Legion is a group of orcs that reside in UBRS.

Since we in Europe are a tight-knit bunch, what does 5 Million worldwide players mean to us? What we want to know is how many people are playing our game, with us. Well whup-de-do, we have a benchmark. WoW EU has hit a massive One Million Paying Customers! People with expired/cancelled subscriptions or on a free trial are not counted either, so it looks like we may be looking at over a million players actually playing the game. The Round Table of Silithus
The Cenarion Circle(http://wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/factions/cenarion/) is recruiting able bodied men and women to fight the Qiraji and push them back off our turf, and eventually off the face of Azeroth! If you aren't in it this for fame, glory and unconditional love from NE gals, then they have one more thing to give you: Phat Lewt(http://wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/factions/cenarion/rewards.html)! They have loads of patterns to buy at different rep levels, and you can eventually get epix, neat.
Anvil's UI
This feature was surprisingly popular last time, although it was just a space filler, so here we have it again. The mods that I use, and a link/explanation.
