Subject: Blizzard rather ban decent people than...
   ... than repeated offenders

Full title: Blizzard rather ban decent people, than repeated offenders.

One of my acquaintance (A now former guild member) was recent banned for using third party software. Now, to make it clear, I'm not saying he shouldn't be punished for what he did, I'm just questioning Blizzard's methods for "clearing up the sinners".

**

EDIT: Now the word acquaintance, means (in this particular case) a relationship less intimate than friendship - This person I'm refering to is not my friend, nor my online friend, I do not know him at all, or have even talked a lot with him. /EDIT

**

To summon it up, he never "hurt" anyone by using his software, he made a fishing bot, and a script that showed the names of people speaking on his voice communication program, so he could identify the person speaking.

Neither of these programs hurt peoples gameplay? Do they herass anyone? NO! Of course they don't. Is it illegal to use third party software? Hell yes, and it should be.

My point is that this guy got permanently banned, with no chance of ever unlocking his account. Like I wrote before, I don't say he shouldn't be punished, but banning him for life for something thats harmless? It didn't disrupt anyones gametime AT ALL. Not to mention, he only did it over a small period of time, and it took blizzard 2 months after to figure it out.

Which brings me to; repeated herassers, I guess a lot of us know them, they exploit anything they can, meaning ninja looting, or exploiting game-mechanics with stuff like roof camping, or the design failures in battlegrounds - like the one in AB that allowed people to enter the field before they should. They're people that spam the forums, they keep spamming after their 2 days suspension, and they KEEP ON herassing, exploiting, ninjalooting, doing generally everything in their miserable life to disrupts people playtime, making it less fun for everyone crossing path with their malicious behavior. And they keep doing it, DAY AFTER DAY.

These repeated offenders only recieve suspensions (which Blizzard like to call bans), mostly 2 days and such. And they keep recieving such suspensions or small warnings for ages, if not forever, whereas decent and dedicated players recieve a permanent ban, without the possibility for redemption. You should have suspended him instead of banning him forever!

You (Blizzard) are hypocrites, stop being ignorant, and open your eyes. Do something helpfull and permanent ban repeated herassers that disrupt peoples gametime, instead of banning decent people who made a small mistake that didn't harm anyone.

Yours sincerly,

   bot = ban = b&w <> grey.
It's really quite simple.. ;)
Any person can be the key to victory, or defeat...
