Subject: 05/01 Migration in January 2006
   We're moving on with the character migration to alleviate long queues and fill up low-populated realms. Here's the current schedule for English realm migration for January 2006.

Phase 10: Jan 9th-13th
Argent Dawn --> Steamwheedle Cartel* (new realm)
Earthen Ring --> Steamwheedle Cartel*
Zenedar --> Drak'thul
Shadow Moon --> Drak'thul

*) Migration to Steamwheedle Cartel might be delayed one week. For now, please consider it running Jan 9th-13th. We'll let you know as soon as the date is 100% confirmed.

This migration may be temporarily closed during Wednesday, due to the additional load when a huge amount of players log in after the maintenance. Do not expect to be able to migrate on this day.

Jan 20th-21st
This is a re-run of the migration that was open December 5th-9th 2005, because of great difficulties with the account management page at the time.
Bloodscalp --> Trollbane
Burning Blade --> Trollbane
Daggerspine --> Mazrigos
Stormreaver --> Mazrigos

Jan 23rd-24th
This is a re-run of the migration that was open December 12th-16th 2005, because of great difficulties with the account management page at the time.
Deathwing --> Talnivarr
Stormscale --> Talnivarr
Bladefist --> Emeriss
Kor'gall --> Emeriss

Note that we reserve the right to close down or redirect any migration at any time based on the population of the involved realms. Please keep an eye on this thread for updates about the migration.

To not increase the load on the database during peak playing hours the migration will be open only between 03:00 and 15:00 CET (GMT/UTC +1) each day.

   Update January 9th
Due to the large number of players migrating to Drak'thul this first day we'd like to warn you that this migration might be closed down following the migration window tomorrow, Tuesday January 10th, and any day after. This is to prevent Drak'thul from being over-populated. The final decision will be based on the number of players migrating tomorrow.

Thus, if you want to be absolutely sure you're able to migrate to Drak'thul, Tuesday is the day to do it.

   Update January 17th:

We sincerely apologise for the technical issues currently preventing any character migration. Our technical staff is working on the problems and we aim to have it fixed this evening, and we'll follow up on it closely to try make sure such errors do not happen again in the future, and ensure that they are fixed faster if they do.

We realise this has blocked the entire migration to Trollbane and Mazrigos this week. This migration will run Monday and Tuesday next week (23rd and 24th) instead, and may be further extended if needed. Again, our sincerest apologies for these problems.

This migration is mainly to relieve the very long queues on Crushridge, and the destination realm will be brand new. To ensure that the destination realm is filled up we're also including Ravencrest in this first week and a half of migration, and may allow more realms to migrate to the new realm over time.

Note that migration will not be running on Saturdays and Sundays, and probably not on Wednesdays.
