So, we've all seen and been there now, and slowly it starts boiling again.
Since the realm forums are rarely (if at all) read, I suggest you take a sneak peek there to determine that some kind of an official explanation is wanted. We've been complaining on this forum too, but somehow it doesn't seem fit for the dreaded/loved blue stamp.
You seem hell-bent on keeping things constructive, so, once again, I will try.
Blizzard (read the CM's in this case) speak in generic terms that there is one server with problems regarding queues. Are we that server or is there worse?
Is there anything in the pipeline regarding these problems or are the many assumptions that by not replying or lack of any official statement you hope to achieve a less big queue trough people migrating and thus paying extra to not resolve but avoid the problem?
Is there some policy preventing the CM's to speak without generic terms (IE: name the realm instead of saying "one realm" or "A realm")
Now this might all seem as a load of bullocks to you, and I am sure the mindless "copy paste" or "repeat like a monkey" unoriginal forum trolls will feel that urge again of hearing themselves speak once again, but this is an issue for a lot of people now.
It's civilized now, but I can assure you that patience is wearing thin, and that frustrations are growing. This cannot end well, so I ask for some input to prevent more forum bans.
Hopefully awaiting some constructive feedback,
Darkangle

Q u o t e: Blizzard (read the CM's in this case) speak in generic terms that there is one server with problems regarding queues.
Where? When? Link, please.
Q u o t e: Are we that server or is there worse?
Grim Batol is one of the absolutely highest populated realms, yes. I never want to single out any realm as the most or least populated, as people have a tendency to use the "label" for a long time even after the numbers have changed.
Q u o t e: Is there anything in the pipeline regarding these problems or are the many assumptions that by not replying or lack of any official statement you hope to achieve a less big queue trough people migrating and thus paying extra to not resolve but avoid the problem?
The former. I can't divulge more details in this post.

No. See above for questions regarding this communication you refer to, and for an explanation of why I don't wish to single out realms - regardless of policy.

Q u o t e: Indeed. I too read it. I was actually gonna ask in that thread if you (thundgot) were referring to grim batol but login issues stopped me. I think it was a friday, 2 weeks ago. The thread was about queues in general and you replied that the end of the summer vacation might have had something to do with it. You also said something about population caps being lower in summer and being raised again after it.
Sounds like one of these messages that gets turned and twisted and completely revamped through being retold too many times. None of us have ever said the caps were lower during summer, as that simply isn't true. :p
Q u o t e: Edit: And he did awnser your question. Just not what we want to hear, nor anything concrete.
Good observation. I was just about to point that out. ;)
Q u o t e: Just did one of the few searches that does work, and I can no longer find it.
Either the OP deleted the subject, it got locked and bumped of the forums, or it ended in a flamefest like so many seem hellbent on and got deleted.
We will never know.
Or it was a figment of imagination, or a misunderstanding or misinterpretation. I am normally the only one posting about English realm population, and as I said I avoid singling out realms as most troublesome, highest populated, etc. :)

Q u o t e: Why are you sitting here smiling all the time?
Run over, smack the hardware guy in the back of his head so he wakes up, and demand some action. You're here on our behalf as well right? Well, right now you're not helping...

You really think that will help?
I'm already doing what I can. That I don't post a log of it here is because I have a commitment of confidentiality to my employer.

Q u o t e: Thankyou thundgot once again for completley missing the entire point of the thread. I will insert a random point here about 2 humped camels being superior to the one humped variety, so that you can comment on this rather than answering the more pressing matter of when will this que issue will be resolved and how you intend for this to be done.
And thank you for missing what Darkangle already pointed out; that I did answer that something is in the pipeline but I can't divulge details on it right now.

Q u o t e: I cannot reproduce the thread, and I assume by reading your awnser, neither can you.
I believe this might be the one that was referred to as "lowering the caps for the summer":
http://www.worldofwar.net/shredder/index.php?seite=kobold&&pid=151897
"The limit for setting a Full tag on a realm has deliberately been set lower during the Summer exactly for this reason."
And I imagine this one might be the one understood as saying a single realm has a queue problem:
http://www.worldofwar.net/shredder/index.php?seite=kobold&&pid=151892 "Depends entirely what you refer to as "that". Summer vacation ending resulting in queues is just a matter of fact. The queues are currently shorter than they were prior to the summer, with very few exceptions (one, I think)."
And yes, I know I'll regret pointing out the WorldofWar.net forum shredder. :p

Q u o t e: I did not actually mean that I wanted you to go hit someone.
And I did of course not actually think you believed that would help. Same language. Point made. ;)
And no, it's not as easy as "realm X has a problem - ok, this is the solution - fixed". Sorry. :/

Q u o t e: I just get that nasty image of a doctor running towards me with a 2 feet hacksaw yelling hysterically "This won't hurt, stand still, it won't hurt a bit" with frothing foam and rolling eyes included.
Do you by any chance read a lot of Ctrl+Alt+Del or VG Cats? :p

Q u o t e: To me it often seems you're hiding behind the confidentiality to your employer. We get no indication that an issue has a ticket number, if it's in progress or pendding, if a technician is assigned to it etc.
The confidentiality was mentioned as a reason why I don't report what I do to you guys. Updates on the status of different issues has nothing to do with confidentiality, but is often a matter of confirmation of exact dates and actions. Posting a lot of maybes and possiblys on the forums will confuse more than it will inform. Just look at how my fairly straight-forward statements in those old posts I quoted above were misinterpreted and turned into something different over the course of two weeks.
Q u o t e: Some middlemanagement US drone decided that everything is a big secret, and CM's are the ones who have to keep it.
Q u o t e: The problem is they arent trying
I'll just give those two statements their correct label: assumptions. ;)

Q u o t e: Well, you are told not to tell, so explain to me, as you would a child, how can that be an assumption? ;)
No, I am not told not to tell. I am however trusted to do my job as benefits the company as a whole the most. Based on this I do not post certain information, for reasons which I am not at the liberty to share with the public. There are however many possible reasons for this, and saying that somebody in the US is keeping the CMs from communicating, or that we're not trying, is thus an assumption.
Anyhow, to get back to the actual point instead of discussing semantics... ;)
We are working on several concrete solutions to the increasing queues on several realms. We do not wish to list them or otherwise get into details at this point, as we'd like to consider them based on the data we have available without having threads lending support to one or the other without having the full knowledge of each solution. We'll share more information on the matter as soon as possible.
