Many of you have probably tried this but I thought I would share.
I went to do a run of death with my nelf the otherday and thought well im gonna die and try and cross the Great Sea as a ghost.
To my surprise I started getting fatigue as you would if you were alive...I died again and re-appeared at the GY.
Anyway I decided to run all the way to Elwyn Forest as a ghost and see if I could rez there and hey presto an easy death free run.
My girlfriend takes it up the undead

edit: anyway, why not just ask a mage in darnassus for portal?
I usually run to IronForge, but I guess it depends on preference ;)
I'm guessing those people who do the run at level 1-5 have a rather HUGE agro range :)
Yes, all mages LOVE gettting portal requests, on average, every 5 minutes :/
Why not get a Lock to summon you to wherever you want to go..
