Subject: 22/05 Website and forum performance
As you will have noticed by now, our website and forums have been somewhat slow during the last couple of days.

Even though we couldn't provide you with much internal information, our teams have been working diligently to pinpoint the issue and we are glad to announce that they have found the cause.

Our main load balancer (which basically divides traffic, or visits to the site/forums) was not performing as it should and we positively identified a hardware issue.

To improve current performance of our forums and website we have ‘re-directed traffic' to our secondary load balancer. And the affected hardware will be replaced within the next 24 hours, while at the same time, we closely monitor the current, temporary measures to make sure our web services stay available to you.

We want to sincerely apologise for the website and forums' performance the last couple of days.

Q u o t e:
With "last couple of days" you meant months, no?

True, it's been struggling in periods for some time, but the recent issues have been a bit worse, especially on the forums.
That there is one damn fine epic you're wearin'.

Update 24/05
We have finished working on our primary load balancer and replaced the necessary hardware.

This means you should see a considerable improvement in website and forum performance!
