I have a question... currently, when you have 40 people enter Molten Core, your group gets "saved" when you enter. When the raid is disbanded, that group is saved together and you cannot add or remove people from that group.
This causes problems because the same 40 people cannot go every single day to Molten Core (whether it be work, school or other IRL commitments), so progressing past Gehennas or even Magmadar is an issue.
In the patched Molten Core, can I bring 40 people, take down Luci and Mag, disband the raid for the night, then the next day return with 30 people from the same raid along with 10 new people? Or will those 10 people be "split" into a different instance?
The patch notes are rather vague on this, and the only real documented change I've had confirmed by reading the forum is that raids will only "save" after you kill Onyxia or kill the first named in MC. If indeed you cannot add new people to a raid in progress, then that is beyond lame and should be re-evaluated... I mean, the players in my guild play more than average, but even we can't ALL commit to a daily MC run.[ post edited by Anenga ]

The way it should work after tha patch is to allow you to add additional members to a pre-existing raid. You'll also get messages in your chat log when a raid instance is saved. For example, you kill Lucifron and it says, "Raid instance saved."
You'll also have the /raidinfo command at your disposal which returns a display to the chat log that reads something like this:
Raid Instance Time Remaining:
Molten Core (ID=af3) 2d 6h 23m 48s
Now, we realize the information isn't displayed in a completely ideal fashion, and most likely we'll be improving the user interface for this, but in the meantime, we wanted to get a tool in the hands of the player so that they can monitor their raid status. The 2d means 2 days, 6h means 6 hours, 23m means 23 minutes and 48s means 48 seconds. Yes, you can monitor when it's going to expire up to the second. If you're in the instance when it expires, it does not shove you out. Simply the next time it resets it will be fresh (by reset I mean no one in it for a period of time, roughly 30 minutes). The ID was put in place so that raid members could compare ID's to see if they are saved to the same instance.
If a raid has already killed a boss in Molten Core and saved an instance, a new player who is added to that raid and enters the zone will save immediately upon entering.
We'll be polishing this system up over time. For now, it was important to get the lockout bug fixed and get a basic tool in the hands of the player.[ post edited by Tigole ]
