First off let me say this isn't a whine post, this is a post calling for the balance of specials and/or factions in Battle Tonks.
Lets start with the obvious - the Specials.
The Shield - Overpowered. Simply put, it makes you immune to most of the other Tonks specials, and mana regeneration is far too fast to counteract a shielded/well versed Tonk artist in the art of strafing.
Nitrous Boost - Needs a mana cost reduction.
Cannon - Working as intended. Good ability.
Mortar - W. T. F.
Explosion delay, sometimes it does no damage at all, fic your buggy spells asap please. Game breaking.
Flamethrower - Underpowered. While powerful in short range, you simply can never effectively use it in combat. Also slightly bugged.
MG Turrett - Pretty balanced, mediocre damage, but good for circle strafing rival tonks.
Mines - Currentl you can have 9-10 mines active at any one time. This is horribly game breaking.
The mines also simply do too much damage. 45 damage for something you might not be able to avoid due to server lag? Thanks, I would rather shoot myself out of a cannon than deal with problems like that in order to progress up the Steam Tonk ladder.
Exploits -
Another, bigger problem, is the rampant exploits I see now in the battle tonk community. Battle Tonks can jump 3 times on the railing, and then jump onto either of the two purple tents, or jump onto the porta potty. While the potty tonks aren't a huge problem as they can be fired back upon, the tent tonks are very hard to hit, and should be considered exploits and action needs to be taken against repeat offendors.
Also - You need to add health bars on all Tonks, and to show the controller of each Tonk.
maybe allow Tonk parties with massive PvP Tonk battles?
Tonk capture the flag, or Tonk WSG or AB should not be out of the question either.

The development team shares your concerns. When dealing with something as game defining as Tonk's I dare say it's impossible to ever get the game balance just right. Surely we must fix the exploits first and foremost.
For players who do not wish to Tonk, I assure you, we are working on non-Tonk gameplay as well. We don't expect that everyone will Tonk. But for the large Tonking community, please understand that these issues are dire for them. I've read all of the "World of Tonkcraft" threads... I've seen the "Tonk or quit" arguements made. But please realize, we're trying to make the game better for everyone.
