Tigole, I have petitioned GMs at least a dozen times. I have called Blizzard's offices twice.
We need a resolution to this issue.
My guild killed Majordomo the night of the patch. Yay, right?
Chest spawns, yay, right?
We're on a RPP system, so it takes a few minutes to establish who gets the loot. Regardless of your opinions on RPP, you can't really say we should be penalized for this system.
Unfortunatly, we were, because the chest DESPAWNED on us in about 5 minutes, before we could distribute the loot.
Now, I have screenshots of the chest. I have screenshots of the loot. I have screenshots of me having the loot window up after the chest despawned. I have screenshots of the "This item will bind to you" window coming up, because after the chest despawned I tried to loot the items as evidence of what dropped so I could have them transferred to the appropriate characters.
One of the GM responses dared to say it was because of a 3rd party interface like Cosmos. Too bad it was a patch day and I had deleted all of my 3rd party stuff, including CT raid etc etc.
We lost a core hound tooth and a really good warlock belt (Sash of Whispering secrets or something like that, it was +sta, +shadow damage, +mana regen i think) to this issue. We would like to see the items transferred to the appropriate people, but at the very least, we'd like a response from someone who isn't as incompetatnt as a lot of the GMs we have gotten responses from.

Here's an update:
The chest despawning so quickly is not by design. For now, be aware that as soon as the FIRST person clicks on the chest and looks at the loot, there is a very fast timer running before it will despawn. My apologies for this and I hope we have a fix soon.
As for reimbusing the items, I am still awaiting a clarification on policy from the Manager of In-Game support.
I'll try to provide an update when I get more infomration on both the bug and the CS policy. Unfortunately, that might not be until Monday.

Unfortunately, GM's cannot replace the loot if the chest is not looted quickly enough.
I am still trying to resolve the issue with the chest that is causing it to go away in a shorter period of time than it should.
