Subject: Tigole, Explain This
When the outdoor raid bosses were introduced, you said

Q u o t e:

The monsters will exist in the public world. What that means is that there will be competition for them. I realize this rubs a lot of players the wrong way. Yet at the same time, we have a strong contigent of players who want this type of competition. We've been careful to try to not target these mobs for any quests or put any set armor on them. Since this is the case, no one will "need" an Azuregos or Kazzak kill to develop their character further in World of Warcraft.

(emphasis mine)

Now, Azuregos apparently drops

which is a required item for the new hunter epic quest.

People should be able to complete quests involving Azuregos or Kazzak regardless if they are in the raiding party that kills them or not.

Similar to Araj in Anderhol, those mobs should leave an item behind that's available to anyone who is on that quest so they can complete it.

Even if your guild or raid misses out on an Azuregos or Kazzak kill, you'll still be able to complete the quest.

   To follow up:

I was incorrect. The infomration I posted earlier in this thread was wrong, and for that I apologize. There was a miscommunication between myself and the designer who implemented the quest.

After discussing the issue, we both agreed that there should be an alternate way for players to complete these quests without having to have access to the outdoor "uber" mobs.

That fix will unfortunately require a patch. But it will be fixed.

Again, my apologies for relaying the wrong information.
