How come they don't resemble each other?
The mobs in Ahn'Qiraj are the most random assortment of creatures in any zone in the World of Warcraft.
You got some Egyptian Statues, some flying bug-women, giant pincer handed warriors, a giant pink sunflower with legs, 2 Night Elf dudes, some beetles, some winged statues...
Just what the hell are the Qiraji supposed to be? I was always under the impression that they were an ancient race of sorcerers that enslaved the Silithid to do their bidding.
The Qiraji of course are related to the Nerubians lore-wise.
However in game, it's like a circus side-show with freaks all over the place.
How did so many oddjobs come from the concept of "A race of powerful ancient sorcerers?"
I mean look at the battleguards, they are clearly humanoid. Then you look at Skerram, The twin Emperors, Raajaxx...
I dunno, just wasn't really expecting THIS to be behind the gate.
The way MMORPG's work is to make it seem like the "player" is actually experiencing the events, even though they are in a fantasy made up world. However the first thing I would wonder about the citizens of Ahn'Qiraj (Not the Silithid mind you! They look fine and pull off the look very nice!) is if they could understand one another.
Some creatures have mouths, some don't. Some have arms, some have pincers, 2 are friggin rehashed Night Elf models...
What do you guys think? Obviously the way it "Looks" doesn't matter too much as long as its content, and that is fine. But I just want to know what you think of the overall "look" of the place and it's people.
I know some of you would camp a giant white cube that just auto-attacked for mass damage, popped once a day and spawned in the middle of the ocean if it got you some new gear.

The Qiraji are the ancient bug-like yet humanoid race who rule southern Kalimdor. If you search the lore hard enough, you'll find they are related to another bug-like race ;)
The Anubisaths and Obsidian Destoyers are their "constructed sentries" -- not so much built through mechanical means as dark magics.
The Silithid bugs are controlled by the Qiraji.
