Subject: I'm a Drood
My Druid is level 35 now, and so far I'm having a blast. There is something about repeatedly spamming moonfire that really appeals to me. I want to believe that somehow I'm causing emotional damage to the mobs that have to endure this action.

This is the build I've chosen, for now. As I continue to level it may change. I wanted to get either Nature's Grasp or Improved Entangling Roots, but not both. I went with the one that was cheaper in cost, and offered passive improvement, rather than another button to push on my bar.

The point in Thorns opened up the Moonkin talent for me, and the additional damage it deals does add up with time. Certainly not going to make or break a fight, I realize.

I may end up speccing for Improved Starfire, we'll see. For now I find that I'm much too lazy to wait for anything longer than my 1.5 second casting wrath to fire off. I don't want to invest in a talent that I'll waste due to my own impatience.

As for the threat reduction Subtlety offers, I do plan to raid somewhat with the character.

Q u o t e:
Can I just say it's damn cool of you to come to our boards and post your build and all - it feels like you're just a guildie posting on the guild forums.

I hope you enjoy your druid, I can't bring myself to play any other class =P.

Question:

Night Elf or Tauren?

My Druid is a Night Elf. I already have two 60 Horde characters, but only one 60 Alliance. I needed to mind my own faction imbalance. :p

so this is what you were doing instead of reporting shaman feedback to the devs?

wow just wow...

Uh, no. Community Management isn't a prison sentence, friend. This is what I was doing while at home, instead of reading a book or watching television.

Okay, how about the shamans were placated last Wednesday (or Thursday) by being told by Eyonix that he would have have a Friday meeting with the devs regarding the Shaman review, which he would report back to us about.

6 business days without a single post from Eyonix, he has come back to inform us all that he has a cool new toon. Gosh, good for him, thumbs up.

I've got a new Hunter too but it hasn't kept me from any promises I've made to my customers and clients.

I'm sorry you read into my statement, Filet. I never said I'd report back on how any recent meeting I've been in turned out. The post you're referring to has been detailed below. I apologize for your confusion.

"I genuinely regret not being able to communicate more these last few weeks, and I'm not going to make any excuses. But at the same time, I can't change what's been done -- I can only move forward. Since my return last Wednesday, I've been gathering the feedback that I solicited on these boards, and have been in discussion with the class designers -- and as a matter of fact, have another meeting tomorrow, specifically dedicated to the Shaman class review."

In any case, what does this have to do with my Balance Druid?

Eyonix....

Welcome to druid land, great class IMO. I like your build, but I have one suggestion (if you are still reading this at all due to all the random spam going on)...

You said you want subtelty to raid, but I will tell you from the standpoint of an experienced healer: with your build i would redeploy those pts into imp healing touch.

This talent is better for raid healing than subtelty by far, if you draw aggro, you can barkskin, and switch to moonkin or bear until a good tank or good grp gets them off. Plus having a quicker Healing touch is quite helpful. I recently respecced to a full feral, and i found I can't live with a 3.5 second cast.

Trust me, a quicker healing touch is a MUST for any raid healing, or even soloing.

Good luck with the druid, I love the class and (notwithstanding some PvP problems) cant find another class to match it for sheer fun. Keep us posted on how you like the moonkin spec too. Im always feral, but balance seems more and more interesting (though I'm a grass is greener type of guy).

Good luck!

Thank you for the advice, I'm in no way locked into my build. I just like to formulate a general direction and adjust as it seems beneficial.
