This is what I was talking about in regards to social stigma.

The fact of the matter is that Innervate is not required for such raids; I've watched many a successful Molten Core and Blackwing Lair raid run without. Innervate is a nice ability, and I'm certain there will be people seeking it for raids after 1.8... but there's more to a Druid than Innervate.

It will be up to you folks to get the more close-minded of raid leaders to give the new Druid specs a try. It will take time to get others used to the idea of Druids being different (and yet still useful) specs; work with your friends, experiment, and show the population of your realms what the best Druids are capable of. :)

Q u o t e:
.

Yes, watched. Why? Because my Druid is currently Restoration specced, so naturally any raid I'm on has Innervate.

What do you expect me to do to test it?

"Innervate plz"
"No, actually, I'm testing to see what happens when we don't use it."
"WTF. You're rest specced, do it now."
"This is for the purposes of science!"

Yeah. I like the people with which I raid.

Your ideas intrigue me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

In all sincerity, I'm probably respeccing Balance in 1.8 -- and the people with which I raid will be fine with that. ;)

People have been saying that for 2+ patches and nothing has happened.

It's still planned.

Might have something to do with the fact they're getting to play with a CM.

Really?

The fact that my guildmates don't know what I do for a living rather dismantles that theory. ;)

I'm not going to waste the gold (I have to get it the same way you do). It's one thing to be specced a different way and not have Innervate; it's quite another to have the ability and not use it when it's needed.
