Subject: Cay, about those feral numbers...
I have what I would say is "beyond decent" cat form gear, and as such, pretty good for bear "damage-output" as well.

My point is:

Given the numbers you posted:
1200 Crit Ravage (fueled by tigers fury)
600 Bear maul crit

I am somewhat ashamed of these numbers being reported. Currently with 1.7, I have critted ravage for about 1570 on cloth wearers (and more amazingly, did a FB for 1601) Now I realize this is pve your talking about and not pvp. Last night in MC, we came up on an Anihalator. Of course they random agro, so I decided I'ld just go cat form for fun. I pulled off a 1450-ish FB on one... I was needless to say shocked, especially since I was wearing my healing gear with little to no str / agi on them.

As for the Maul crit. I'm used to seeing 200-250 on an avg hit, and 500-600 on crits as common, even in my tanking gear. Mind you, I'm one of the rarer druids in that with my tanking gear on, I have over 550 attack power, while still maintaining a decent HP pool and good high AC.

======PLEASE READ THIS PART AT LEAST======
I'm not trying to say the changes are crap before I see them. I'm sure that if nothing else, druids will be improved by the work you and the developers have put into us. For that, I thank you. However, I have noticed and been saddened that most of your posts seem to advicate the viability of our "new" balance tree. While that's good to hear, I am not sure which position to take on our "new" feral preview you gave. Is it semi-lackluster in comparison to your balance one due to personal taste aimed at the balance side, or is it that the feral side did much less to entice you compared to the changes in balance?

I listed the specific gear I wore for a reason. Feral gear is very subjective depending on what aspect you focus on. The gear I picked was all-around gear, focusing on survivability as well. Take for example my weapon choice, the Unyielding Maul -- which has 250 Armor and some stamina, but no Strength or Agility.

I would suggest, before getting disappointed, you compare gear and wait for the talent preview itself.

In fact, if you'd like to list your gear (provided it's focused around damage), I'll test it out with the new talents and see if there's a notable difference.

Also, despite what many think... critical numbers themselves aren't everything. ;)

Folks, while I'd love to test every single configuration, I can't -- there simply isn't enough time in my day to do that. As such, I used Queue's setup, as it was to him I originally extended the offer. I also tested Corvus's setup -- the proverbial "extreme" -- both with Herald of Woe and with the new unnamed weapon of Druid happiness.

Queue's set, when compared with mine, provided a minor boost in Attack Power at the sacrifice of over 2000 AC in Bear Form. The forms performed very similarly against the same monsters, with the same healing needs. I saw no significant DPS or critical increase, and the dodge percentages were about equal.

Corvus's set (the Horde equivalents, mind, and I kept Blackhand's Breadth as opposed to the PvP trinket since I was focusing on DPS), as you'd expect, is close to the extreme of how feral focused a Druid can go. I'm aware that some of this is nigh unattainable for many of you, but some wanted to get an idea of how far into the realm of craziness the new Feral Druid could go.

Again, I'm fighting the elite Hive'Ashi Stingers and Swarmers. After a few test runs, I targetted solely 58 elites for this. My attack power was up considerably, my critical chance was gorgeous, and my dodge chance in Cat wasn't too shabby either (though my AC was slightly lower than my test gear. I proceeded to kill a few of these solely in Bear form, with no Rage to start and no healing of any kind. I survived every single fight, ending at around 25-30% health.

Next up was Cat form. I stealthed in and proceeded to kill a few level 58 elites, again, without healing of any kind. No shifting, nothing, just in and out as Cat.

Curious, I replaced the Herald of Woe with the new weapon, and found everything considerably higher all around. I laid waste even further, seeing Ravage crits of 1300+ and regular bear melee crits of 400+, to give an example.

Don't get discouraged by numbers -- individual crits don't say as much as, say, increased critical rate. ;) There's more to improvements than single damage numbers.

It's looking like a pretty day for Druids. ;)

EDIT: Whoop, meant a crit when I said a hit. :P

I'm not testing any more equipment builds. If I tested every build given to me in this thread, I would have had absolutely no time for the multitude of other projects I have to take care of in a given day. ;)
