I saw you got to test out the balance tree changes and they were awesome... any chance you can tell us how the new feral tree is? :)

Still messing with them... gearing for Balance is easier than gearing for Feral, and Feral is all about the gear. :P

Sorry guys, I'm not giving any specifics -- not hints, not ideas, nothing -- until I have the all-clear to do so.

Q u o t e: Caydiem, honestly, why do you post on threads like these (twice) when you havn't posted on the Hunter forum in several weeks, despite being asked various questions (I'm not talking about the idiotic, random insults, I'm talking about the intellegent questions about the developer's acrtions) every single day?
The reason you always give for this is that you are not the official representative for the Hunter class, there is no official rep for any class, and you only post when you have something important to say about upcoming changes. Well, that just doesn't fit with what you posted here. You didn't give out any information about the changes to the Druid class, you didn't report information that you were told to report, you just answered a question about what you have persoanlly been allowed to test so far. This simply does not fit with what you say about why you don't post on the Hunter forum.
Now, I can understand why you wouldn't want to; too many Hunters who get angry with and insult you personally because they can't see the difference between you and the developers. However, isn't it your duty as part of your job to treat all the classes you report to equally?
If you answer personal, rather irrelevant questions like "Hey Cay, how's your Feral Spec test going?", then why on earth do you refuse to respond to honest inquiries about Blizzard's decisions? I would honestly just like an answer to this Caydiem, and I know that a lot of other reasonable Hunters would just like a reason why the Hunter forum has been blue-less for weeks.
It's a relative community issue.
I have attempted to be more open with the Hunter community as I am in the Druid forum and was met with hostility -- lasting hostility that I could not dispel. As such, I now only post there when I have information to give. I read it, but if I don't have answers or new information I won't post.
The Druid community, on the other hand, has been more supportive of "fireside chats" in general, and so I can comfortably speak in this way here.
I will try the method again with Hunters in time, but it won't be for quite a while.

Q u o t e: By and large the hunter forum is full of jackasses and douchebags. But lets not forget there was a thread on this forum calling for your death. Are my alt's forums really that much worse when you try and post than my main's forums?
The attitude in general is much different.
The feel here is far more laid back than the one in the Hunter forum, as you well know. Note your own examples: "by and large" vs. merely "a thread". There's a difference in the majority.

Augustus, if you don't enjoy my impressions of what's coming, you certainly don't have to read them. While I do appreciate feedback, I'll communicate what I feel is best for the community at large. If you continue to troll rather than post in a constructive fashion, understand that there are consequences.

Q u o t e: Not to mince words with caydiem, but her not saying anything and not giving any impressions on the new feral tree speaks volumns. IE, in its current form on the internal servers, i am betting feral specc is still a joke and the 31 point talent is just as useless as the 2 we currently have. Thanks Cay, and I am not being sacastic here ...... better to say nothing and save yourself a backlash from the players. However I would love to take that restro-druid developer out back and show him the true meaning of being a druid of the Claw. Couple crit hits here and there and a bash ....maybe then the poser will see what needs to be done to feral.
No.
I haven't geared a Feral Druid in some time, and I don't think fighting in Cenarion is the smartest thing. While the PvP set helps, that's not much, and I do need to gear the character fully. Thus I must research and, too, get back into playing a Feral Druid, which I haven't for months.

Q u o t e: Caydiem,
If you don't enjoy my impressions of people's worship of non-informative posts, you certainly don't have to read them. While I do respect Blue Names on these forums, I do feel that when they post, they should post in a constructive fashion. Telling us that you are happy with the changes is not constructive information. Your style of play, as you have told us countless times before, is different than others.
Furthermore, understand that 3/4 of my posts on this forum are informative posts to facilitate the success of all other druids. If I'm not permitted to express my distaste or dissatisfaction for peoples worship of you for giving us, useless information, then what world do we live in?
Thank you for your time and have an enjoyable California afternoon,
-Augustus-
Point one: incorrect. Reading the forums, and at times moderating them, is my job, thus I do have to read them.
Point two: Everything I said was constructive. It was a simple impression of what I've seen thus far. If I could give details, I happily would, but I cannot. Despite what you may believe, giving a specific example of what I killed and how well it performed in comparison to my experiences on live realms is a constructive post. Not what you want to see, perhaps, but I can't help that.
Lastly -- expressing dissatisfaction in a constructive way is one thing. Expressing dissatisfaction in a destructive, mocking way that brings nothing to the conversation at hand is the very definition of trolling, sir, and this is your last warning before further action is taken.

Q u o t e: Again, its in what you don't say that speak volumns. Feral still sucks apparently. You shouldn't have to get epic gear to make a talent tree work. Hell, you shouldn't have to have 2 travellers backpacks of blue gear to get it to work.
A restro druid doesn't need to have blue or epic gear to make their character be effective using a restro build, so why the hell should a feral be different. Again, Cay, i understand you are stuck between the hammer and the anvil.
And to be quite honest, loose the pvp set gear, it is junk. Yes i said it, and being 51 feral I mean it. I have better gear on than what that ugly brown thing can do for me.
If you want to copy paste my characer and use it on the internal servers, go for it. I am here-by giving you permission. The ONLY thing I would want in return is a synopsis of the charcater build sent to the email address tht I gave when i signed up to play the game. It would save you the research time in farming for gear.
Er?
It's a simple fact that Feral gear is an important part of the feral experience. That game mechanic isn't changing to my knowledge, and if you were expecting it to, I'm sorry to disappoint you. Don't judge by what I don't say -- I honestly haven't had time to delve into Feral the way I did Balance yet, and part of it is about the gear.
I can't copy your character over (I am physically unable to do so) but I thank you for the offer. :P

Eh, I can attain the gear simply, it's just a matter of composing a set of gear that's comparable to Cenarion, et al for a casting Druid.
