I was transfering a character, and noticed something odd as I was checking on the expected approval time, and it was at about 1 day. After logging off WoW for a bit and logging back on to a character on the target realm i noticed that the character I was going to transfer was already there. He had his equipped gear on, but his name was incorrect. His name was Turanda, and his transfered name was TuranE1E632. I had mad a character by the name Turanda on the target realm, with the specific purpose of renaming the character I was transferring. My question is, is this TuranE1E632 ok for me to play? Or is he still being worked on to trasnfer his bank, and what not? If hes good to play this would be an unexcepted boon for me, and a big thanks to the transfer Crew for beating their expected time. From what I understand, Turanda, you haven't anything to worry about; the letters and numbers at the end of your character's name are due to the fact that a character with the same name as the transferred character currently exists on the destination realm. Once your character becomes available to log in (it shall remain "locked" out of play until the transfer has concluded), you shall be prompted for a new name for TuranE1E632. I do apologise, however, for any confusion you may have been caused by this process. :)
