Subject: Old names not in use?
I've recently tried making an alt on my server the name was already taken. I dont really remember ever seeing a character by the name on my server ever really. So I did a search on the warcraft realms website and it appears that character hasnt logged on for over a year. Just wondering if its possible to somehow get the name for my alt. With the amount of restrictions on names, seems very hard to get a good name now.

Unfortunately, Tandaa is correct, Proxy. If the name is taken by another character on another account, we will be unable to intervene regardless of the circumstances.

<3 you, Tandaa.

You would need to delete the character currently holding that name in order to manually claim the name on a new character, Proxy. You could still request the original character be restored provided you have not exceeded your limit for virtual property restorations. I would strongly advise against attempting this though, as no restoration is guaranteed and you would run the very real risk of losing your character.
