Subject: 45 Min Baron Run & Terrible Customer Support
My group had just finished a 45 minute baron run, and the woman npc comes out of the cage, but none of us can continue the quest. We all had a grey question mark over her head. Four of the members were on this quest, and it happened to all of us.

We all submit GM tickets and wait in the instance.

90 minutes later, our tickets are closed wihtout anything from the GMs. We all get responses saying that they CS was sorry they couldn't contact us online, even though we all were.

The email response isn't even specific to the quest. It suggests:

--------------------------
1) Check quest log carefully and bank: There were no items to be had, and our logs are fine.

2) Make sure you're not in a raid group: Duh. We weren't.

3) Remove third-party UI mods: You have to be kidding me.

4) Abandoning and re-acquring the quest: No kidding, but that does nothing to help us now, and won't guaruntee it won't bug the next time we do this.

Finally, check with other players ingame: You can't be serious. This is a very buggy quest, just check the forums. How are others going to help any when you won't confirm the problem and tell us what is wrong?
-----------------------------

All and all, the support we got for these tickets is embarassing on the part of Blizzard. Refusing to contact us in game, then sending is form messages that aren't even relevant to this quest. We sunk 4 hours into this effort, then another 90 minutes waiting for support, and you can't even have the consideration to respond in person?

Shame on you guys. That is awful.

Our development staff are currently investigating issues which may prevent players from being able to properly complete Dead Man's Plea after slaying the Baron within forty-five minutes of the quest timer initiation. Please accept my apologies for the fact that you ran into an issue when attempting this quest. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances surrounding the issues that may arise when attempting this quest, we are unable to verify that the quest was properly completed in the given time frame. It is for this reason that we will be unable to compensate your group with quest completion. Again, I am very sorry that we are unable to assist with this matter.

The way in which your petition was handled, Linneaus, was admittedly not acceptable. Rest assured that I have forwarded all of the necessary information onto the appropriate people to ensure that this situation is internally addressed.

As an update, it does seem to be true that using the "Medallion of Faith" while attemping Dead Man's Plea will interrupt the quest from being successfully completed, even if done within the alotted time frame. There is also an issue where, if a pet or totem happens to get the killing blow (final damaging shot) on Baron Rivendare, the quest cannot be completed. Unfortunately under either circumstance, we will be unable to verify that the quest was otherwise rightfully completed within forty-five minutes in order to award quest credit. I am very sorry to those who have been affected by these issues and wish you luck attempting Dead Man's Plea in the future. In the mean time, our development staff are working to resolve the pending issues preventing proper completion of this quest.
